1. write as often as you can. it doesn’t matter if it’s good, you can always edit it later.
2. submit as often as you can. prestige of a magazine doesn’t matter. you need eyes on your work.
3. don’t get discouraged by rejections.
4. read your work. over and over and over again.
5. keep track of your submissions in a spreadsheet! this will help you stay on top.
